Expanding Our Canon
Have you always found trivia intimidating, or even exclusionary? Rightfully, trivia carries a reputation of having a community and a canon that is geared largely toward, well, middle-aged white men. We hope to expand trivia’s accessibility by writing questions from a different perspective—including lesser-represented topics that are considered outside of the classic canon (typically, histories and cultures of more marginalized communities). We recognize that we’re also a couple of white girls, and we encourage POC, other queers (we’re queer), Gen Z (idk man, Tik Tok is out of my depth), or anyone who is a nerd about a topic you feel never comes up in trivia to submit questions! We hope this helps make our trivia more enjoyable for a wider variety of folks. Thank you for contributing!
